Hi Everybody !
I decided to make a sort of journal since I have been very bad about keeping in touch so far.
Not that I don't think about you guys all the time, it's just that I'm really busy with school and work. Those of you who know me well, know also that I don't like talking on the phone much, which makes keeping in touch even harder.
Hopefully with this diary I'll be able to keep you guys up to date with what and how I'm doing. There are a lot of things that I do everyday that I don't think of telling you when we talk or exchange e-mails, but that are important to me in some ways. Hopefully I'll be able to put them in here now.
Short review on what's been going on with me lately.
Moved to Chicago to attend Loyola. I'm finally going to be completing my BA in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. Can't say I'm overjoyed to be in Chicago, but I am overjoyed to finally be accomplishing my goals.
School has been going very well. I'm getting As in almost all of my classes, except for my math class, and I was pretty much expecting that one.
My campus is absolutely gorgeous, and I'll try to take pictures really soon to upload them and show you guys. I love the fact that Loyola is a Jesuit school, even though I'm not very religious, the teachers here seem to be more interesting and more open minded than in public Universities, as weird as that sounds. Also, it means that the architecture is more beautiful and every day I walk by countless statues of Saints and the Virgin Mary, and Christ.
Found a good job with a nice family in the suburbs. I work with 3 kids. A girl of eight, and 2 boys of 11 and 13. They are all really nice and we're starting to get along well. The past two weeks especially I've made huge progress as being someone that they trust. I am now being asked daily to play the Wii with them, and to play Star Wars Miniatures as well. I am also asked for help and advice on homework which is a huge step for the 11 year old. With the little girl, I'm asked daily to play invented games, that are surprisingly well made.
So, very happy with the job I have.
When I got here I moved into the first place I was able to get, which was a disaster. Since then, one of my roommate and I moved to a 2 bedroom not far away from the first place, and this place is so much better. I love where I live, and I especially love having a clean place that is heated for the winter. Yay, heat !
Few other things that happened here, my van broke down. The engine was completely kapput, so no more vehicle for me. It sucks, because it makes my commute an hour to an hour and a half longer each way. Oh well, I do survive.
I got a new addition to the family, a kitten, Sophie.
Here she is:

Adorable little rugrat, I love her. Lucy was a bit jealous at first but now they get along great.
Here they are getting ready to rumble:

I've started doing lots of crafts, first I started knitting because it got really cold and I had yarn that my grandmother gave me. I started knitting semi-gloves:

And now I'm in a stuffed animal making mood, here is my first one. Looks like a 5 year old made it, but I love it!

Not quite sure if it's an owl or a cat, but nevertheless it is cute.
That's all I can think of for right now. Lucy is getting adjusted to the weather. It's gotten REALLY cold here in the past few weeks. I can't go outside the house without being bundled up with scarf, hat, and gloves, a huge coat on top of everything. Lucy, not being used to the cold now gets extremely excited when I pull out "her" clothes. You should see her jump around and then prance down the streets when she's all dressed up.
Here's a pic of her with her very first sweater:

That's about it, I'll try to take more pictures of the fall colors around my house, and update as often as possible. (Maybe even every day!), so keep tuned on this page!!!
Miss you guys, can't wait to see you again.
