This is the sixth time I've done the 10 things that I like entry. I'm planning on going up to 100 and it's funny how that can be difficult. I like so many things having to think about specifics can be challenging.
1. Clothes and Shoes. I didn't use to like those at all. Tom-boy all the way I could wear anything and be happy with it. Lately I've come to appreciate clothes and shoes more (especially since I've found Payless). I like feeling feminine I guess. Wow, that's funny when you know me.
2. Tigh highs and pretty underwear. I don't have any lately. I literally have one pair of cute underwear, the rest is all old and not so nice. It's nice to wear stuff that makes you feel sexy once in a while.
3. Long hair. I love long hair on others and I love having long hair... which is why I can't figure out why I have this desire to cut my hair into a bob lately.
4. Manga. I didn't use to like Mangas at all. I was a comic book girl all the way and Mangas always seemed to me to be too... fluffy. Well I've started taking some out at the library and have fallen in love with them. I devour about 6 of them a day right now and am going to run out of mangas to read from the library. It's so much fun to learn about a different culture through their everyday read.
5. Starbucks' white mocha and their madeleines. I thrive on those two.
6. Flowers. Lately I've been seeing lots of flowers springing up from the ground and it's made me incredibly happy. I would love to plant some in my own yard, but the money is a bit tight.
7. Birds' songs. These have just gotten stronger as the spring arrives, and hearing them always makes me smile.
8. Fountain Pens. I really like being able to write with those, they are what french students learn to write with when they start school and I can't understand writing in pencil like most students do here.
9. The internet. I'm quite addicted really.
10. Vodoun, Voodoo, Voudou, I've been interested in that religion for the longest time. I'm not sure why the appeal is there, it just feels very strong and comforting. Most people are afraid of Voudou because of the witchcraft aspects of it, but I think it's a very powerful spirituality for women to come into.
Alright, have to run to class. Life is still pretty much the same here.
Although my friend Nigel is coming to visit this week-end and I can't wait !!!
He's one of my favorite artists and I love spending time around him. We might be going to Karaoke... and that's very scary to me ;p
