This new year was spent very quietly, and I enjoyed that.
Nigel and I watched a season of Stargate that evening and cuddled up together.
And then Nigel got sick, so the past few days have been spent very quietly while he recuperates. I've been working as well, but things are still pretty relaxed as school doesn't start for another week or so.

I've been working extremely hard on creating the curriculum for when the kids are back. Since we've started homeschooling them things have been pretty interesting. The past few months we've been giving them very little work in order to give them time to adjust to all the big changes, move, stopping school, etc... but now it's time to start again and start moving forward. So that's what I've been up to from sun up to sun down every single day for the past week. It's going well, and I'm excited to be creating a cool schedule for the kids. We're not just doing work, we're going to museums, scientist meetings, conservatories and an observatory as well.
We should have a lot of fun.

My art is kind of at a stand still right now. I have a lot of ideas, yet when I get started on drawing them out I get stuck on silly details. It's upsetting, but it's part of the reason I'm concentrating on something else for the time being, that way I can shake off the "blank page" feeling.

Ok, back to the curriculum for next month! :)
