I am actually being productive now that school is going to start again... because we all know that this is how I work.
I've also had a really bad few weeks after the Holiday season, where I honestly could do nothing but what was required of me. I mostly mourned the death of my friend Jonathan (who died around this time two years ago), and now I'm doing a bit better again... so it's back to creating stuff.
I'm almost done with my Gorgon trio of paintings, I can't wait for them to be all done and photographed, they make me happy.
And I'm starting on the painting that I have due in February for the Barbara and Barbara Gallery here in Chicago. The concept is here... now I just have to finish it up.
I've drawn out the girl... now I need a flower... and the background.
I'm excited about this piece and really hope that I can do it justice. What is in my mind is amazing... now to only get in on paper ;p
And then I'm working on a commission for 3 kids portraits... complete with tentacles! Finally a parent willing to let me have their kids tentacl-ed. :)
AND tomorrow I'm getting a hair cut... after 2 years of thinking about it, I'm finally going to have my hair cut short! AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH
It'll be a bob, the issue is that I waited 2-3 years, and now the bob that I'm imagining is actually pretty popular, I guess I should be more decisive next time. No worries though, I need a change and can't wait to see what the stylist does tomorrow.
