So things have been good. Coming back from France I got swamped, I had a friend come visit from California. Then I had a week of catching up a bit on work and settling down, now another friend is here as well visiting from California, and as soon as he leaves my friend Marjo, whom I haven't seen in close to 6 years I think, comes in from Quebec for a week.
In the midst of all this I managed to get Scarlet Fever! YAY me, I'm pretty skilled I should say.

But things are good, I'm trying to get started on a few paintings, although it's not proving great. I'm having a hard time with backgrounds right now for some reason. I might just have to go and drop oils, and try to get the feel that I'm looking for with acrylics after all. Not as good a color, but the raised mountains look that I'm trying to get might just have to go that way. We'll see.
Not so much work on my plushies. I think I got discouraged on my last one, the Octopus... the second try that I made, he still looks like he has a set of testicles instead of tentacles dragging in the middle of his body, lol. But I love the idea of him, so I'll keep on trying I just have to find that one day of inspiration that will make me want to work on that specific project.

Summer in Chicago has been a lot of fun. It's actually my first summer here, and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. I'm finally learning to love Chicago. It can really be a great city. Only down, everybody in Chicago seems to be riding a motorcycle this summer and it's making me want to get my own real bad... no money for that though so I'm just shrugging it off for the time being.

Anyways, other than that not much new... enjoying the summer, working, spending time with friends. I am lucky.
